Annmanique Johnson, an accomplished actress and writer, was born in Milwaukee, WI, to two loving parents who instilled in her a passion for activities like sports, music, and acting during her childhood—each of which remains close to her heart. Among these, acting stood out, as she realized from a young age that she loved entertaining audiences on stage, despite her quiet demeanor. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from Florida A&M University, she returned to Milwaukee, WI, to work for her family's home health company. It wasn't long before she pursued her passion for acting, enrolling in classes at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. There, she discovered her calling to act full time. Later that year, while buying tickets to one of his plays, she met writer and director Andre Lee Ellis. She auditioned on the spot and was thrilled to be cast as an understudy in the play 'Jitney' by August Wilson, performing the role of Rena. This opportunity, alongside training from Andre Lee Ellis and performing at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts in her hometown, bolstered her confidence to continue on her acting journey. With a desire to tell unique stories that celebrate Black excellence and resonate with audiences from all backgrounds, Annmanique made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, CA, in June 2013. There, she quickly secured roles in theater and film, while also discovering her talent for screenwriting. Completing a short film and a feature film inspired by her father and the TV show 'Breaking Bad,' she is excited to explore the writing world further. Annmanique aims to be a phenomenal and unique addition to the realms of artistry and business, particularly in promoting art sales and creating opportunities for youth and young adults, fostering a brighter future for all, especially in the realm of Black love in Hollywood.
